2020 USRowing Indoor National Championships / C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints World Indoor Rowing Championships

“Following the successful launch of its inaugural indoor championship, USRowing will partner with the C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints World Indoor Rowing Championships for the 2020 USRowing Indoor National Championships. The event will be held March 1 at the Boston University Indoor Track and Tennis Center.” See the official event website and information packet for details.

2020 34th Annual Erg Sprints

Date: February 2, 2020
Location: T.C. Williams High School Alexandria, Virginia

“The 34th Annual Erg Sprints Indoor Rowing competition will take place Saturday, February 1, 2020 at T.C. Williams High School (“Remember the Titans”) in Alexandria, Virginia. First held in 1986, the Erg Sprints have grown to become the second largest indoor rowing competition in the world, and the largest event of its kind for juniors. The day-long event typically features over 1,700 athletes competing on 140 ergometers that are set up on the race floor inside the Gerry Bertier Gymnasium. The athletes have ranged in ages from under 10 to over 70, and have included some of the top high school, club and collegiate rowers in the country and the world.” See the official event website for details.

2019 Inas Global Games

Athletes Without Limits will be fielding an US National Team in multiple sports (including DC Sports Cycling, Rowing, Swimming and Tennis) at the 2019 Inas Global Games in Brisbane Australia. 2019 Stonewall Regatta 50th Anniversary

Date: June 2, 2019
Location: Anacostia Community Boathouse, Washington DC

 

 

The Stonewall regatta was created to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. 25 years later, we are celebrating the 50th anniversary and 25th respectively, and use these milestones to mark how much progress has been made. But like all athletes, we recognize that there is always room for progress and improvement. For the 25th anniversary, the regatta will celebrate three pillars of our club: diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.

AWL DC Rowing will be taking athletes to the US Rowing Indoor National Championships in Long Beach California. Event Details can be found on the events Regatta Central webpage.

US Rowing recognized Athletes Without Limits National as the provider for Eligibility for all sanctioned events that require classification for athletes with intellectual impairments. This event requires AWL National Level Eligiblity in the following Sports Classes:

  • II1 Intellectual Disability 
  • II2 Additional Impairment-Down Syndrome
  • II3 High Functioning Autism

2019 C.R.A.S.H.-B. SPRINTS

AWL DC Rowing will be taking athletes to the C.R.A.S.H. -B Sprints in Boston. Event details and results can be found on the event website.

C.R.A.S.H.-B. allows athletes to self-classify in all events so AWL eligibility confirmation is not required to enter.

2019 ERG SPRINTS (National Eligibility Required)

As the US Member of Inas, Athletes Without Limits is proud to host the 2019 INAS International Indoor Rowing Cyber Championships — a new initiative from the INAS Rowing Committee and aims to make the sport more accessible to a greater number of rowers. Athletes have until 31st March to submit performances by video and INAS will publish a weekly rankings list (athletes can submit more than one entry during the period) and the winners will be announced in early April. There is no entry fee in this first year, but an INAS National or International Eligiblity registration and competition license must be held. We very much hope that you will support this fantastic initiative and look forward to receiving your entries. With best wishes to all INAS Members.

Eligibility: This International event requires athletes to have either Inas Provisional/National Level Eligiblity or Inas International Level Eligibility the following Sports Classes (II1 Intellectual Disability; II2 Additional Impairment-Down Syndrome; II3 High Functioning Autism). International athletes should contact their country’s Inas Member Organization for eligibility guidance. Athletes Without Limits is the US Member of Inas and will assist US athletes.

2018 Head of the Charles Regatta

Since its inception in 1965, The Head Of The Charles® Regatta has attracted hundreds of thousands of rowers and spectators to Boston’s Charles River.  The Athletes Without Limits Integrated DC Rowing Team has been at the forefront of inclusion rowing at this prestigious regatta for the past decade — follow along and see action photos and videos from this years events on social media.

2018 C.R.A.S.H. B Sprints Indoor Rowing Championships

C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints

The 2018 C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints will be held on February 25, 2018 at Boston University’s Agganis Arena. Athletes Without Limits DC Rowing Team has participated in this event since our first collaboration to include athletes with intellectual and developmental disability in 2010. C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints are a one-day ergometer racing event that is open to spectators. Registration information will be provided as we get closer to the 2018 event.
